The Hired Guns are seeking a data-driven SVP, Ecommerce for a global fashion brand. If you’re the kind of accomplished, confident senior digital leader who’s learned the ropes across the board and are ready to take the reins at a growing and highly respected company, we’ve got a hot one for you.
What Success Looks Like
While this fashion company already has a successful ecommerce business, they are far from “optimization-land.” Growth is the mindset here. Given this, your mandate is to continue the double-digit expansion, bringing in online sales from first-time customers while simultaneously building meaningful CRM systems. You’ll also help keep the company at the forefront of digital innovation relative to fashion.
Hired Gun Profile
When it comes to ecomm, this ain’t your first rodeo. You have had previous P/L oversight, running all aspects of an ecommerce business and are looking for a bigger pond or a more interesting challenge, specifically with a brand that has the capacity to scale.
You’ve supervised a variety ecommerce projects, from building a site from scratch to transforming/re-platforming others. Product management, UX, analytics, merchandising, fulfillment and customer service are all in your wheelhouse. In particular, you’re extremely sure-footed when it comes to using digital channels to drive customer acquisition — and you have a gift for designed effective conversion funnels.
This role is all about building best-in-class digital capabilities across the entire customer journey — both online and off. And then scaling, scaling, scaling!
While you’re at it, you’ll upgrade the company’s business intelligence capabilities — using data and insights to inform decision-making; collect, track/monitor, and analyze digital/retail data to understand key business performance, consumer behavior, merchandise performance, and beyond.
We’re not going to lie: involvement in running a global ecommerce business is definitely preferred and our client favors candidates with experience at large-scale fashion or beauty brands. So, if you know your ins-and-outs across key regions, from consumer behavior nuances by country, to supply chain wonkiness by region — you’re going to have a frictionless conversion and be invited to interview ASAP.
If you have the competence and gravitas for a truly far-reaching role at a growth company whose success hinges on positive, cohesive digital experiences, you won’t find a more fitting gig than this one.
