The Hired Guns are seeking an Integrated Producer – Project Manager to join a skyrocketing media brand’s in-house creative services agency. You’ll leverage both your production management skills and your project management know-how to be the calm center-of-the-storm at an in-house agency of a media brand at the center of the Zeitgeist.
Looking to climb the career ladder two rungs at a time? Looking to fill your portfolio with award-winning work in multiple disciplines? Do you have agency experience with strong project management skills and a solid mastery of production? This is your gig. (Think you’re ready for a more managerial position? We’re also looking for a Senior Integrated Producer.)
Nitty Gritty
In this role, you’ll own your projects from pitch to production, and all the steps in between: concepting, scoping, budgeting, schedules and timelines, implementation, launch and wrap-ups. You’ll provide oversight, communication and coordination for the entire project and all those involved, including clients, executives, account managers, strategists, designers, creative, tech, production and more. And not just on any single platform; you’ll work in digital, experiential, photography, video and even print.
Anticipation, communication and problem-solving are the core qualifications for this role. You’ll provide oversight and documentation for all stages of the builds, including UX/design, development, user acceptance testing, quality assurance, and deployment. On your projects, you’ll also be in charge of production oversight for video, photo, and multimedia projects, working alongside your production team for all stages of content development, from creative concepting, planning, pre-production, production and post production.
It’s a lot to handle, but you’ll be surrounded by some of the most highly skilled professionals on the planet. Your job is to conduct the symphony, not play all the parts.
What Success Looks Like
You’ll seamlessly take ownership of all the phases, stages and pathways on your projects from brainstorming to wrap-ups. You’ll be thinking further down the roadmap than anyone else on the team, identifying and snuffing out bottlenecks and blockages well before they occur. You’ll be collaborating and communicating effectively within all players on your projects, from clients to staff to executive team members.
Gun Profile
You’re a process geek with experience managing clients, and you keep your projects running smoothly from inception to completion. In your past work at a top agency or media site, you honed your production chops and grew intimately familiar with the most common project management tools like Basecamp, Omniplan, MS-Project, etc. You’re also a devil for documentation, with a boatload of SoWs, budgets, timelines, staffing estimates, etc. to show for your time in the trenches. Coming from an agency or media brand, you’re also familiar with scoping for all departments involved, not just production.
Perhaps even more important than the skills you’ve developed is your attitude and approach. You’re a born collaborator and problem-solver who doesn’t wait for issues to arise, but is in the weeds looking for solutions before bottlenecks start to develop. You’ve gained the trust of your team, your managers, and your clients, who appreciate your “can-do” attitude.
Inside Skinny
While this firm is known for their ability to pull off any type of project, developing branded video will be your bread and butter. And highlight any beauty, fashion and consumer goods experience on your resume, as your first assigned client is a major beauty brand.
