One of the true greats in the educational space is on the hunt for a seasoned UX pro to step into a senior role in which you’ll be responsible for creating the design of world-class platforms and experiences. Nitty Gritty

Working closely with the UX Director and with other designers, you’ll play a role that combines direct execution with leadership/facilitating. You’ll be an integral part of the process straight through from ideation to user research, design execution and presentation to the client. Since you’ll be in a senior role, you’ll be expected to bring more than just tactical skills and the ability to solve small problems; you’ll contribute to the strategy, to the overall vision. You’ll have to concern yourself not just with what works best for users but also how the user’s needs overlap and/or conflict with those of the business — and you’ll use your exceptional skills to see to it that all of those needs are met in an ultra-elegant design solution. Along the way, you’ll create some or all of the artifacts we all associate with UX: user flows, prototypes, and style guides and other documents.

The UX, Design and Product teams will be looking to you as a senior expert on all things related to the user experience. As such, you’ll coach them, you’ll offer feedback, you’ll serve as a mentor and a sounding board and will help instill that passion for UX throughout the organization.

You’ve been devoted to UX/UI work for more than half a decade now, working on teams building complex products, banging out user flows and wireframes and smart visual designs — designs that you can point to in an online portfolio that turns heads, designs that are evidence of your ability to develop experience ecosystems that consist of numerous components, numerous touchpoints, multiple channels and platforms. Of course have all the technical prerequisites down flat — Axure, Zeplin, Invision, HTML. You thrive on solving creative problems using the latest UX methodologies and interaction patterns — and you especially love to do so as part of a highly collaborative team. You’re an excellent communicator and you take a real interest in your colleagues and their professional development.
