A renowned NYC-based healthcare institution with an international profile is looking for a skilled Social Media Community Manager to conduct frequent social media scheduling, monitoring, and proactive media listening.
It will be your responsibility to look at different social media channels and actively manage them on a timely basis. You will quickly provide insights to the relevant teams within the organization, such as patient relations. This role will support both the media relations team and social media team as you set up alerts and strategically create a response hierarchy.
Note, you must have a flexible schedule to excel in this role. In addition to traditional working hours, you will be monitoring social media communities at regular check ins including early morning, late night, and weekends. Please, only apply if this sounds feasible.

How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
Hands down, building community through social media is your passion. You don’t mind being “on” and alert outside of working hours. You have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field with at least 5+ years of social media community management experience. It’s preferable if you have worked in high-stakes environments i.e. healthcare, financial services, and/or breaking news media. A background in crisis communications expertise would be great.
You’re comfortable with on-the-spot decision-making and you’re an excellent, clear communicator. You understand the strategic thinking and skillset involved in this role. You don’t need a deep bench of technology experience, but you must be familiar with tools like Sprout Social and Cision’s tool, Brandwatch. To be considered for this role, you must have a great portfolio of social content you have created.
