The Hired Guns are looking for a growth-oriented marketing leader with strong B2B SaaS experience to become the new SVP Marketing for a fast-growing global adtech player.
What Success Looks Like
A pivotal role, the SVP Marketing will support this company’s ambition to become a leading independent advertising platform for converged media globally.
Nitty Gritty
Reporting directly to the COO, as SVP Marketing you will lead all online and offline B2B marketing and strategy, shaping everything from product marketing and brand strategy to all demand-generation activities and tentpole events in order to drive global growth. Success in this role will be driven by your ability to create a compelling product positioning and go-to-market strategies that expand the entire marketing funnel in order to exceed corporate revenue targets.
As a member of the senior leadership team, you will have the ability to use your creative and commercial talents to craft global messaging and positioning for the overarching brand and individual products. Attention to detail and an eye for quality are crucial, as is the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into clear and compelling benefits.
You’ll collaborate closely with the sales, product, technology, strategy, and PR/communications teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape a team of highly motivated and driven marketing professionals within a dynamic, fast-growing company.
Hired Gun Profile
To land this role, you need to have a track record of scaling SaaS-based technology companies where your exceptional strategy, product marketing, branding, and creative output made you a key growth driver.
Strong preference will be given to individuals with substantial adtech experience (DSP & DMP) — especially on the buy side. You know the ecosystem inside and out, understand who the players are, and, most importantly, have strong relationships with the clients inside of agencies and marketers/brands.
First and foremost, product marketing is your sweet spot — and you love partnering with product management and enabling sales at a SaaS technology company. In fact, product development is something that you absolutely love. Your marketing initiatives have driven substantial growth in terms of both acquiring net-new accounts and expanding business within existing ones.
You’ll know this role is for you if as a product marketer you’ve honed value propositions and positioning, conducted competitive analysis and segmentation and developed a winning go-to-market strategy because you figured out just the right product-market fit. Especially nice to have: oversight of B2B new lead/ demand generation, marketing automation, lead nurturing, content strategy.
Of course, your marketing suitcase must include oversight of B2B branding, events, PR and marcomms.
