As Category Manager, you will be responsible for full ownership of category growth at the one of the world’s largest suppliers of promotional products, operating on five continents and selling to over 100 countries around the globe (that’s a lot!). You will actively manage the introduction of new products to support the company’s margin and ROI goals. In short, this role is crucial to the company’s growth strategy, and you will play an integral part in the vision and implementation of new categories, brands and channels. This company is aiming to become #1 or # 2 in the world in the promotional products industry within the next three years. So, they really need a self-directed individual to drive these category sales and margin growth ASAP! Growth is the name of the game here — for you and for the company.
Why You?
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You have 5+ years of experience in the promotional products space; experience in product development or category management is preferred. You have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or merchandising, or a similar program of study. It’s great if you have strategic planning and merchandising experience. You’ll be managing cross-functional teams, so strong management and leadership skills are a must. You’re well-versed in product positioning and trend research, and you have excellent performance analytics Oh, and a nice perk of the job is travel (if you’re into that) — you must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
