This growing company is a small team doing outsized work on behalf of a better tomorrow. It’s gotten so busy, it’s time for a Digital Marketing Lead to take over the duties of delivering digital marketing strategies that will move the needle in terms of engagement. The right candidate is an optimizer, a strategizer, and an executor.
You need to be an optimizer in digital marketing strategies including email, social media, content strategy and paid media to bring the most value to your clients’ budgets. You will need to be a strategizer in that you can understand your clients’ needs and devise a plan that will help them strengthen and spread their message to targeted audiences for tangible results. You will need to be an executor in that you will take the strategies you’ve devised and manage the largely freelance team who will implement, while showing clients data-driven results.
What success looks like in your first year…
Grow your garden of civic good by tending daily to a portfolio of clients in a job that’s as much content strategy as it is digital marketing. After a daily scrum, you’ll spend your morning bringing all your accounts up to date, scouting business development opportunities, and fielding weekly catch-up calls with clients to tighten up the expanding plans for research, branding, and media. You’ll regularly lead in-person reports and presentations of your own creative briefs, as well as hosting kick-off calls with the clients and creative.
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You should have an editorial and design eye. You should be confident in constructing messaging and speaking to design. You should also have the ability to manage a team, as you will be overseeing designers and copywriters. You will interface with leadership regularly, and devise ways to push the digital business forward through innovation and keeping up with trends.
