This company is at a pivotal moment in its history. They’re assembling the industry’s best and brightest to build a high-powered marketing and product organization. Right now, they’re looking for a marketing leader who can take the reins of all search engine marketing efforts, optimize existing campaigns and dream up innovative new ones, and educate the rest of the marketing team and beyond in the principles and benefits of SEM.
The entire search marketing funnel is your bag. You’ll work with merchandisers to develop strategies informed by your nuanced understanding of multi-category, season-driven product offerings. You’ll run the bidding process, primarily with Kenshoo. You’ll oversee the placement of display advertising. And you’ll take charge of setting SEM KPIs and using them to optimize future campaigns.
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You’re already a leading figure in SEM and paid search (senior manager, director) at your current organization. You’ve earned your spurs in large-scale retailing, ideally fashion or multi-category retail. Or you’ve worked at a beauty or fashion brand, or at an agency where you serviced clients in any of those spaces. You’re both data jockey and master communicator, who is superb at stakeholder management, an ardent presenter, and an evangelist for SEM.

- Who are your stakeholders? How have you communicated about your practice and results to people who don’t have marketing experience?
- How do you measure success in your current role? Describe a scenario in which you implemented new KPIs, tracked them in a campaign, and used the metrics to optimize subsequent campaigns.
