The Hired Guns are seeking an Email Marketing Manager, Subscription E-Learning to join a leading brand in the consumer digital learning space. All you email geniuses out there who are both creative and data-driven, we’d love to hear from you!
This is a very well-known brand and a truly global company. You’ll be a key member of the CRM team, reporting directly to the head of CRM and acting as the point person for email, which is this company’s prime vehicle for customer acquisition and retention. You’ll take ownership of the existing email strategy, improve on it, and build out new programs of your own. Your email campaigns will acquire new leads at the top of the funnel and drive them through the entire messaging life cycle of engagement, conversion, and retention.
You’ll gain an understanding of the service, brand, and target customer base, study the data, and tell a compelling multi-part story in the form of emails that nurture leads throughout the sales cycle. You’ll truly enjoy working in the brand’s fun, engaging voice as you craft its content. Then you’ll put on your data hat to segment, test, revise and repeat, creatively personalizing content for each segment and achieving improved results with each iteration.
You’ll be joining a close-knit and collaborative team, and you’ll work with stakeholders in sales, marketing, product development, and more to plan and then execute the email marketing calendar, never missing an opportunity to learn new things that will make your subsequent campaigns even better.
Hired Gun Profile
You come equipped with 3+ years working on email marketing for a high-volume retail, B2C e-commerce, or subscription enterprise. If you’ve only worked in Constant Contact or MailChimp, we’re afraid the client will take a pass, because they need hands-on exposure to the kind of tools and analytics found only in higher-octane ESPs. Preference for subscription product and B2C experience. You must know HTML and not be afraid to tinker to get the look just right. And your uncompromising attention to detail demands that it’s gotta be just right.
You have a strong understanding of the CRM funnel, and you have original approaches to content and personalization that make perfect sense at each stage of the life cycle. You’re adept in data analysis and data-based storytelling, and you love the feedback loop of a well-crafted campaign … it’s just so satisfying!
Last but not least, you’re extremely knowledgeable about email best practices and regulations: you respect them, but know how to work within the boundaries to achieve the best results.
