Lead Product Manager Wanted for Consumer Media Platform
Salary range: $175,000 to $220,000 per year
Are You the Missing Piece?
What if your next product role helped power the digital experiences behind some of the biggest names in culture, fashion, technology, entertainment, and lifestyle?
We’re looking for a Lead Product Manager focused on the front-end consumer experience platform to own the reusable “Lego blocks” behind a massive consumer-facing digital ecosystem. Think front-end capabilities, components, design systems, personalization, creative tooling, and other platform capabilities that make it possible for teams across the organization to build better consumer experiences faster and at scale.
This is not a backend infrastructure, data platform, CMS, or feature-factory PM role. We’re looking for someone who can see the entire ecosystem, understand how all the pieces connect, and turn that complexity into elegant, reusable product capabilities.
What’s it going to take to score an interview?
- You’re a platform product thinker. You’ve owned a platform over time and understand the difference between building reusable capabilities and simply shipping another feature.
- You know the front end. Your experience should connect platform work directly to the consumer experience, i.e., front-end components, design systems, personalization, creative tooling, or similar products.
- You’re technically fluent. React, Node, GraphQL, APIs, integrations, and the broader publishing stack should be familiar territory. You don’t need to build the APIs yourself; you need to understand how the pieces fit together and how to leverage them to create great experiences.
- You’re a systems thinker. You can zoom out and talk strategy with executives, zoom into the weeds with product, design, and engineering, then connect it all back together.
- You have strong product and UX instincts. Technical chops aren’t enough. You understand how platform capabilities translate into consumer experiences and know how to balance the “art” with the “science.”
- You’re still hands-on. This is a Lead IC role, but we’re open to hands-on Senior PMs, Principal PMs, and Directors of Product Management who want to stay close to the work. You have a point of view, challenge assumptions, make decisions, and aren’t afraid to get into the weeds.
- You’re structured and decisive. You can create order in a complex environment with multiple brands, teams, stakeholders, and time zones, and you’re the person who jumps in and gets things moving.
- You think like a platform owner. Your internal product, design, and engineering teams are effectively your customers, so you understand how to build with a service/SaaS mindset and create capabilities that make everyone else better.
You should take this meeting because …
This role is a rare intersection of platform, technology, and UX, with the complexity and scale of platform product work but a direct connection to what consumers actually see and experience. And because this is a Lead IC role, you’ll have real ownership to set direction, challenge existing thinking, and shape major platform decisions without having to step away from the work. If you want to build for scale, bring a strong point of view, and help define what a broader digital ecosystem looks like next, this is a pretty compelling playground.
