The Hired Guns are seeking a Product Marketing Manager for a large-scale wellness organization dedicated to maximizing productivity by minimizing stress and burnout. Want an employer who respects you? Working better by working healthier isn’t just a philosophy here, it’s the MO.
The Nitty Gritty
The backstory on the organization and why they need to hire you!
This content-oriented tech-meets-consulting company retrains other workforces in self-improvement strategies, and even makes individualized personal wellness SaaS apps for their clients that target sleep, stress management, and meditation.
Broader than just demand gen, this role wades into field marketing and events, working closely with sales and customer experience. You’ll haul sales and customer feedback to the curriculum developer to keep the product vital and relevant. Hey, you might even have time at the end of the week to pitch in on thought-leadership development.
Aesthetics are great, but your real objective is to distill what needs to happen and present it as clearly and simply as possible for all stakeholders. You’re the person who says where energies should be directed — and how — so that ROI is maximized.
The Quest
What success looks like in your first year…
You’ll develop case studies on the regular for the customer experience team, then funnel your findings into pitch decks for new programs in 2020. Training your team on positioning offerings as well as objection-handling, you’ll apply your takeaways from close conference with the CMO to create end-user engagement strategies.
Why You?
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
This isn’t your first Product Marketing Manager (or equivalent) rodeo, as you hail from a B2B enterprise-level SaaS tech company that has a reputation for quality test stats. You might be early in your PMM career, but you’re confident enough in your training to show coworkers how it’s done right. In part, that’s because you’re remarkably good at communicating, which, in turn, is a product of your exceptional strategic mind.
From site design to one-sheets to white papers to case studies (now in video form!), you can sell sand in the Sahara. You’ve built out a lead-gen engine, and you argue from your core about the competitive merits of different marketing automation software titles. You understand buyers, and buyers like you.
You sleep (self-care is important here!), but only so you can beat the numbers of all those poor go-getters over-caffeinating themselves right into underachievement. You never stop seeking educational opportunities, and you don’t waste time in areas that don’t spark your passions.
Tell Me About a Time When …
The interview questions you need to rock to score a “swipe right”…
- What are key awards, promotions, project assignments, etc. that you’ve received in recognition of your accomplishments? (Don’t be afraid to brag.)
- What are you doing right now to further your career and continue growing as a Product Marketing Manager?
- What was your biggest success in a SaaS and/or B2B campaign?
The Inside Skinny
Why you should quit your job right now and join this organization!
Ambition is rewarded here: whoever gets this role will find themselves on track for a senior managerial role, and perhaps one day, directorship. Prove you can do great things, and watch bigger opportunities unfold.
