The Hired Guns are seeking a motivated Senior Inventory Analyst – ideally with a background in Ad Ops – to help manage and develop yield and monetization strategy for one of the world’s top-rated lifestyle platforms.

A multi-billion dollar lifestyle media company is looking for a super-savvy Senior Inventory Analyst to take on a very entrepreneurial role, working closely with the Global Head of Yield Management as only the second hire on this new team. As the new Senior Inventory Analyst, you will play an integral role in managing inventory quality and revenue potential for this company, while bridging communication and strategy between essential internal teams. You’ll be tasked with analyzing global performance and inventory data across sales channels. You will develop actionable yield strategies that help to maximize the company’s revenue opportunity across sales channels. You’ll collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to incorporate yield POV into their ad tech stack, improving their ability to extract and manage ad-related datasets. In concert with the Analytics team, you will design, manage and own yield intelligence dashboards, which support the dissemination of clear, concise insights across audiences and business units. Finally, you’ll support holistic on- and off-site monetization analysis tied to program margin and rate tolerance by media type.

You have a strategy-meets-analytical-mindset. You have 4+ years of professional experience in the digital Ad Ops/Inventory Analyst space, preferably at a digital publisher (the “sell side”). You’re a self-professed wiz when it comes to digital supply and demand practices; guaranteed vs. non-guaranteed, programmatic buying, header bidder partnerships, etc. You possess a deep understanding of digital concepts and you’re fully up-to-date on emerging ad formats. You’re excited to join a nascent team and perform in a fast-paced, highly changing marketplace. Experience presenting data and insights to various levels of an organization right up to senior management is a must. Plus, you have a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams across all levels. Intermediate-to-advanced Powerpoint and Excel skills are required (SQL knowledge a plus). Working knowledge of key digital sales and technology platforms (Salesforce, various order management systems, GAM, Moat, DoubleVerify, IAS etc.) is necessary, as is applied knowledge of Tableau or other data-visualization tools.
